Because it’s USB 2.0, so the speed it’s a little bit slower than 3.0. but for the price, worth it. It also could be because I have over 32gb worth of pictures. I have a Samsung Note 5 so this is nice due to the fact that the note 5 has no SD slot.
Although this product is not something I will use all the time, it definitely comes in handy every once in a while. It has been helpful for getting photos off my phone onto my computer. All I have to do is take the SD card and insert it into the slot and plug it into my computer. It downloads very fast. The USB fits into my computer very nice. I would recommend it to those who need it. I may only use it a couple of times per year but for those times it comes in handy. And last thing I need to say that only sold $4.99, which is so cheap to buy this little useful thing.
The photo shows the adapter in the Kindle 7 opening ES File Manager to copy the files. I used the adapter to load the picture to the web from my Windows 10 PC. Easypeasy.
I don't know if the case is supposed to be welded, glued, or what; but it cracks apart with very little pressure, and once separated does not snap back together like some plastic cases will.
I was concerned at first because there aren't really any instructions that come with the reader, and it seemed that my Micro SD card was too wide to fit into the slot provided. Turns out that you have to insert the card side-first. Thing is, it didn't look like that was going to fit either (slot too large) but ended up working because of the little "bump" on the bottom of the card. And now that I look at the product photo again, it shows the card going in sideways, so duh. Card slides in and there's a gentle "click" so you know it's seated correctly. Pulls right out when you're done reading it.
Also, the USB end of the reader was a little difficult to get inserted into my computer, but gentle pressure got it to work. It's definitely a "snug" fit.
