I had ordered this product on 30th May and received it within 2 days. The packaging was good, but the product was in very bad shape. The box looked old and tattered. The product seemed to be unboxed a lot of times. The CD was out of its cover. It looked like used piece. Above all the model is not TF (twin frozer) one. They are selling reference card from MSI in the name of this model. I returned this product. All in all a horrid experience. Will think twice before buying products from Amazon.

Buy two and watch them outperform a GTX Titan 7 July 2013
By Jason Evangelho - Published on Amazon.com
I'm evaluating two of these for Forbes Tech, and running them in SLI yielded better FPS results than the $1000 NVIDIA GTX Titan. This wasn't just at 1080p either. I used both synthetic benchmarks and real-world game tests at 1440p as well, and these dual MSIs continuously impressed, and at half the price of the Titan and roughly $150 less than the GTX 780.

Great GPU 10 July 2013
By MrPie - Published on Amazon.com

This is definitely the fastest GPU I've owned (granted my last one was the HD4350), but nonetheless a great card. I've been throwing some benchmarks at it and it definitely holds up (furmark, boinc, blender, etc.) The good thing about this card too is that it runs well in SLI, so that could be a future upgrade path. This is a great card and should run any modern game decently at a relatively high resolution.

great mid-range card 26 July 2013
By James W - Published on Amazon.com
This card rocks. Plays everything I've thrown at it on ultra. Can't wait to get another and run them in SLI. To these others giving low ratings, think about what you're doing before you give a great product a crappy rating. Just because you didn't take the time to measure your PC before you purchased this is not a good reason to give it 3 stars. NOR is it ever right to give a product a bad rating because ANOTHER product performs slightly better for $80 more. Stupidity. 33 other people agree. If you were looking for a fairly priced mid-range video card, stop here. This is faster than the 660ti for $50 less.

Speed & silence at an affordable price 26 January 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

This card is slightly overclocked by the manufacturer, but the speed is not much different than any other GTX 760 card. The big difference is the cooler. At full load, the cooler is almost silent and still keeps the card cooler than any other AMD/ATI or Nvidia card that I've owned in the past. Very happy and am going to get another for the other computer in the house.

Best Midrange Performance for Price 14 January 2014
By A. Biswas - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase
After 5-6 years since my trusty 8800GT, I was due for an upgrade. For reference, here are my specs:

ASRock H77M mATX
Intel Core i5-3470 @ 3.2 GHz (turbo 3.6 GHz)
MSI N760 OC 2 GB
8 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport

Now let's get to it!

Performance:

Rest assured, the card absolutely muscles through last gen games like Batman: Arkham City at 1080p with 60 FPS. No sweat. However, next gen games like Assassin's Creed IV really stress the card, but still surprisingly pulls through. With every setting maxed out (except shadows [very high] and AA [SSAA]), the card coasts at 60 FPS at 1080p. Increasing the AA to NVIDIA's new TXAAx2 technology hurts the framerate, but is still a very playable 40-50 FPS.

Overclocking:

This card comes factory overclocked, which means the GPU core is overclocked to 1020 MHz. The memory core is still the default at the effective speed of 6 GHz. While I have not tried manually overclocking yet, using MSI's software to automatically overclock gives me a GPU core clock of 1090 MHz and with GPU boost, I get a real world clock of 1202 MHz in game! And that's by clicking one button! Most articles I've read say that the the GTX 760 handle overclocking quite well, though how much real world benefit you can is subjective. With the modest overclock I got from the MSI application, I got about an increase of 2-3 FPS, which in the case of ACIV, was much appreciated.

While MSI Afterburner is free, it should still be noted that it is an absolutely fantastic piece of software to monitor various aspects of your card as well as overclocking it. If you are interesting in harnessing the power for the GTX 760, this is a great primer: [...]l.

Aftermarket cooler (TwinFrozr IV):

Despite the somewhat corny name, the TwinFrozr is one of the best parts of this card. The cooling solution keeps the temperatures low (~25 C idle and high of ~65 C full load @ 1090 MHz), yet surprisingly silent as well. Additionally, the military class components means that all the overclocking will not outright kill your graphics card. Always a good thing! However, you must note that there is not heatsink to the memory module at the back of the card, so be careful overclocking those memory cores.

Performance vs Price:

As of December 2013/January 2014, the midrange offerings by NVIDIA and AMD are the GTX 760 and R9 270/270X, respectively. While the R9 270 is priced competitively in the $170 sweet spot (effectively outpricing its older brother the R9 270X), the GTX 760 sits around the $250 spot. However, performance-wise the GTX 760 edges out its counterpart mainly due to additional Texture Mapping Units and memory bandwidths. However, if price is a sticking point, I would suggest an overclocked version of AMD R9 270. However, for the performance that this particular card offers, you will be hard pressed to find a better card at the price point.

Power consumption:

The GTX 760 is very efficient and I read somewhere that under full load this MSI N760 consumes less wattage while also keeping the temps low compared to the similar manufacturers like Gigabyte, Asus, etc.

And there you have it! A fantastic card at a fantastic price! If you've been looking to upgrade your system for a while, the MSI N760 OC Gaming should definitely be up there. If you are more interested in maximum performance, you might want to check out the more expensive MSI N760 HAWK for its overclocking capabilities and features (for $10 more). With the GTX 770 being about $80-$100 more, you can't beat the GTX 760. When overclocked to it's potential, it handily beats out the the Radeon HD7950 and GTX 660 Ti, even edging the HD7970 and GTX 670. That's pretty darn impressive.

Bottom line: As of now, if you are looking for a midrange card for all your 1080p gaming needs, MSI N760 has the performance per price you want.
