Swamiji has chosen the master and disciple relationship to give us some valuable lessons. The story reads like some of our bollywood thrillers and definitely keeps you engaged. I enjoyed reading this book, its inspiring and could easily relate to all the characters in this fiction story. Swamiji has chosen this format to not only enlighten us but also rekindle all the positive emotions that makes us human. Thank you Swamiji for this insightful and inspiring book. --By RaghuNag on 4 March 2017
The Last Gambit is absolutely superb. The moment Vasu came under the guidance of His master the tempo picked up . I was able to go into the boots of vasu and recollected myself playing chess from the age of 7 and attended one major tournament and could not continue due to lack of funds and good guidance but somehow was able to make in the college. I really miss Master . In fact whatever field if you have a selfless mentor with wisdom the world will be under your feet. Could not forget the master in my life. Each and every page of the book took me to my younger age. Once again Swamiji has proved he is the supreme star. --By Raviprakasham N.V.R on 25 February 2017

This book is an Intravenous (I.V.) bolus dose of inspiration for any passionate person pursuing his pursuit in life. This book will fill you up with good emotions, there will be time your veins will be full of blood in adrenaline rush, other times you will fill with joy and ecstasy with dopamine (a neurotransmitter) release in your brain.Other time you will laugh like a 3 year kid and chuckle on numerous occasion.Just to remain in flow of reading, keep a pack of tissue papers with you before hands, because you are bound to shed tears numerous times reading between the lines and at some special moments for reading between the pages in a row.
As in life, so in any game, role of extra-ordinary master is very crucial in any domain. As it is succinctly written on the back cover of the book, 'Success by design is infinitely better than a win by chance.' But a big question is from where success by design come? How do you know it's success design at first place ? It can only be told by a true master and this book clearly depicts how master had played a pivotal role in making his student world's No. 1 champion because he himself was No. 1 champion at time.
and much more........
My Immense gratitude to the author (Om Swami Ji) for this masterpiece.
Pre-booked this fantastic journey months back and read it at the same time, but somehow unable to write down a review, but now at last doing it with a calm mindset.
I have always been interested in fiction, as it helps reader to disconnect from current scenario and create an imaginary world of his own, always appreciated the creative storyline but, it is first time I was reading a novel(in true sense) by a Sanyasi (monk) , so when I first heard of it, I was intrigued,
Few questions floated in my head:
What Swami ji is going to write in this book?
How he is going to touch the sensitive subject of romance and love?
Is it another Robin Sharma kind of inspirational book ? (to be honest I avoid reading fictional tales mixed with preaching stuff)
There were so many question, but when it finally arrived, I was so engrossed that finished it in one read i.e around 8 hours, it's like I just can’t put it down, have to get to the whole story.
It is so fantastically written that you will find it difficult to realise that it is by same person who is author of National Bestsellers Non-Fictions like “A Million Thoughts: Learn All About Meditation from The Himalayan Mystic”, “Kundalini: An untold story”, or “...Read more ›
