Pros: All ports work (charging, microphone, Auxiliary out)
Fast delivery because of Prime service
Cons: They say that they test each device before shipment, but I received a defective part first time through (Amazon paid for return shipping. They force you to cancel your order and start a new one over.).

Introduction - You're probably considering this item because either your microphone, charging port and/or auxiliary out is not working, but the rest of the phone works (screen, all other buttons, ios is still finctional). If that's the case you are in luck because you have chosen the correct part. I was a little concerned because it had no reviews at the time and I wanted to fix the phone as fast as possible. It comes with a cloth and the dock connector. The cloth is pretty useless.

Installation - I Googled how to replace the part and the instructions are good. You will need four tools - a very small torx screw to take out the two screws at the bottom of the phone, a small suction cup to pull the screen out of the case, a plastic prying tool, and a small 00 Phillips screwdriver. This kit does not come with these supplies. You have to buy your own.

I would recommend once you remove screen from the phone to not unplug the ribbon connectors from the motherboard (there is one connector that controls the home button that will have to be disconnected). You do not need to remove the motherboard. You have to remove the battery and speaker to access the part you need to remove. If this is your first time disassembling a phone I would allot a couple of hours to get the job done. Also don't forget to remove that rubber piece from the old microphone onto the new one (it just slides out).

Installation for me was painfully slow since this was my first time disassembling an iPhone and it's many different screws that go in its unique spots. On a comparison, my LG Nexus 5 is very easy to work with because it only has 8 screws and there are two different types. It also took me a while because the instructions I used had me remove the screen from the motherboard and the motherboard and I found out later that I did not need to.

Problems - Once I installed it the charging port was now working (the original charging port was damaged) and I was so excited until I made a call. The microphone did not work. That was a little lame because of all the time I had invested in ordering the part, waiting for it to arrive, finding time to installing it, and installing it. I decided to give the seller another try because I assumed that maybe they just got a bad part.

The only good thing about this is that Amazon made it really simple to return the old part and they paid for for return shipping because they gave me a defective part.

The Fix - After waiting a couple more days the new part arrived. I was a little anxious because I was concerned that the new part might be defective again. This time I replaced the part within an hour.

I tested it and the microphone works. Then I tested the auxiliary out and charging port. Everything seems to be in order now.

Conclusion - I was disappointed that the seller says that they test the item before shipping and even the anti static bag says that it is tested, but when I installed it the first time I received a bad part. That took a lot of time from my busy summer schedule. I am very happy though with the second shipment because it worked and there seems to be no weird things going on with this charging port.
1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy 13 August 2016

Garbage. Like other reviews on here, my speaker didn't work. When I saw the other reviews I assumed the reviewers didn't install it correctly. I've replaced charging ports a dozen times, this product is a waste of time. When you are replacing the charging port there are 2 cables to unplug/plug, the power cable is pretty easy, the sound / speaker cable is so tiny and an absolute royal pain, it can drive you insane. So to go through that work and find out it doesn't work is a real kick in the butt. Don't buy.

The first one I bought I put it in the phone.. No big deal... Then when I turned the phone on the speaker didn't work... Ordered the same product again for the second time because I thought it was defected... The second time I put it in and the gold clip wouldn't clip in... I took a look at it and the "ne product was filthy with dirt clogged in it... I have an angry customer waiting for their phone charging port and now speaker to be fixed.... Horrible service!!!!!

Installed this part only to find that the left audio channel in the headphone jack didn't work. Wasn't worth paying to return it. Going with DIYMOBILITY.
