I consider this book a "GEM" among a sea of related books that offer similar advice.
I saw this book and kept coming over to it, time and again, reading the seemingly endless positive reviews. I bought it to help jump start some sales so I can at least get rid of my day job within a year.
Before I bought it, my product been sitting on Amazon for almost a month, getting like 2 or 3 sales every 5 days. Started reading the book, was floored, dumbstruck with all the great tricks, methods AND ESPECIALLY THEY WHY THESE TECHNIQUES WORK!! I didnt even finish the book Im in the 3rd section of it, I think the 41 advertising techniques section, page 156 I think.
From what I read, I changed my products main picture to something appealing, catches the eye (1 technique). Then I changed the title, starting it off with the words my products audience are looking for on the daily basis, letting them know, 'Come on over, I can Help YOU!' (2ND technique). Completely rewrote my product description in a way that lets the customer know how my product will help in several ways everyday. Also created a sale or steal I'm giving them when the purchase it, again another technique.
Once I was satisfied with these new efforts I did some amazon advertising. Now I made all of these changes by Feb 6. By Feb 9th I was selling more than 5 a day. Within 7 days of that, I made the same amount of money, on a Sunday no less, than what it takes me to make in 2 weeks!! If I could have showed you my face when I woke up that morning and looked in my amazon seller central account and saw those numbers, OMG!!
I am going to try out different methods of advertising to really take this to a whole new level, I guarantee you, by May 1st I will be completely self-employed and flourishing!! I am even thinking of funding a short film for one of my friends who is a filmmaker.
I am in AWE AND WOW!! Thank you for this life-changing book. I am not even selling the product at its regular price, I could be making more than double I am making now, again just WOW!!!
On page 184 the author says...

Advertising - plain and simple - is about selling products and services. It's business communication with the goal to increase sales by interesting people enough in a product or service that they ultimately trade their money for it.""
Booyah! Mind blown!
Here's the deal. The author makes complete sense with all the agency examples and he reveals the truth behind the true intention of advertising.
It's about selling but in an ethical way.
The book covers a lot of ad agency examples and case studies that you can incorporate into your own campaigns BUT with your target market in mind. Pick and choose elements from the campaigns to include in your very own marketing materials.
You may or may not agree with all of his methods but the book is a worthy read.
I think I only got 10 pages in and realised some of the things I was doing wrong with my marketing efforts (and had to chuckle at some of my other efforts that I've been doing for two decades).
After going on a reading marathon that saw me forget to eat and ignore the world outside, I got to the end of Mr Whitman's book and felt like I had been handed a million dollars! Then I went back over my 17 A4 pages of handwritten notes and 374 highlights, bookmarks and notes in my Kindle version... I was so supercharged with excitement that I couldn't sleep!
I've been a big fan of Jay Abraham for many years and devoured a lot of his stuff when I first started my business back in the 90s... some of it worked well. But I don't ever recall reading about many of the golden nuggets that Mr Whitman talks about in CA$HVERTISING. It's hands down mind-blowing stuff and packed with real-world strategies geared for ANY type of business... and any SIZE of business. Priceless.
If you're looking for fluffy stuff and information that is hard to translate and apply to your business, then this book won't be for you.
But if you're looking for no-nonsense tips and secrets... buy, beg or borrow this book and start applying the formulas and strategies TODAY! Your business will thank you for it.
I also believe that CA$HVERTISING should be mandatory reading for any individual undertaking a marketing degree. After seeing first-hand some of the knowledge that graduates are applying fresh out of University (College), it's enough to make your hair stand on end. If they had the knowledge and wisdom that Mr Whitman imparts in his book... well... all I can say is, they would be kicking some serious butt and leaving their competition for dead (AND getting results for their clients).
I'm now a Certified Raving Fan of Drew Whitman's work and will be recommending this book to all and sundry.
PS: Stop reading the reviews and just bite the bullet and get it! You'll be glad you did.
