2.0 out of 5 stars I really want to like this unit. 28 May 2016

This rating is based solely on my first impressions. I will get on and edit this review to include more long term opinions as well once I have had a chance to make some. I just got this yesterday so only time will tell.

The good.
I really want to like this unit. The install was super easy. No power or ground wires, just plug it into your head unit. Relatively straightforward functionality. Has some nice features and still lets you control your music through the phone which was the main feature I required as my experience with the interfaces that have you controlling your music through the head unit are always flaky and unsatisfactory.

The bad.
It has a lot of background noise when the vehicle is running. It has a background hum at idle, and a transmission wine that varies in pitch with the rpm fluctuation of the vehicle.

I do plan to move the location that I have the main box mounted in in hopes to eliminate the background noise. At this point I just have it zip tied to a big bundle of wires above the gas pedal. I hope it is picking up it's interference from there and that moving it will alleviate this issue. If so this will be a great solution, especially for the price. More to come…

Update:
I had this unit for almost a week now. I actually started out with two of these. I was going to install one in my van and the other in my wife's car. After a long fight trying to get one in my van I have decided that one of the units is bad and initiated the return process on it at this point. The other unit I am fearing also suffers from the same issues, just not as bad. I am still working with it trying to work them out in hopes of keeping it but am unsure if I will be able to at this point.

As mentioned in the beginning, the issues I am having are with background noise. I have changed the mounting location four times. I have even tried taking it completely out of the dash and sitting it on top of it, or in the passenger seat next to me, to be sure it wasn't near anything else that could be causing interference and the resulting background noise. I have also disconnected all other devices from the unit (aux in, Bluetooth mic and remote) in efforts to ensure the background noise I am experiencing is strictly coming from the unit it's self.

Again more to come.

3.0 out of 5 stars Everything else works fine. Well almost everything because I cannot skip 30 May 2016

3 1/2 stars. Here's why. My car is a JDM Honda. I don't know if because of that I have a faint feedback through my speakers when I'm driving, that is only present when I'm using this. Everything else works fine. Well almost everything because I cannot skip, rewind, pause, rpt nothing from my radio controls. Everything must be done via my phone, or if using a usb I have to use the supplied remote.
Were it not for the faint feedback (which gets louder when the volume is up high) and if I could control it with my radio's own control, I'd give it 5 stars.
The feedback is my biggest complaint. And again, my car is a JDM Honda so I don't know if the wires in the plug are slightly different, hence the faint feedback. But yes, so far I would recommend (I've only been using it for a couple of days)

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst bluetooth car audio 29 August 2016

The device has a horrible interference ground noise, the call audio is so bad you can not hear the caller unless volume is at maximum power. Overall a horrible product, do not buy it.
2.0 out of 5 stars Find a different module if possible 30 January 2017

Works, but pick up car electrical noise at a level that is barely acceptable with the phone turned up to max. Adding a commom mode choke and large cap helps somewhat, but this modules analog design is fundamentally flawed.
