4.0 out of 5 stars Your search for a touchscreen glove ends here 13 February 2016
By George Nezlek - Published on Amazon.com

A little background about my experience with these types of gloves: I have owned "touchscreen" gloves like these in the past. They got the job done, but I've always noticed that if I didn't firmly touch the screen of my phone with the middle of my finger then it didn't work the way it should. Also something else to point about those other gloves was that only the thumb was touchscreen compatible so I couldn't use any of my other fingers. In addition to only one usable finger and lack of touchscreen compatibility, the quality of those other gloves just wasn’t up to my or, quite frankly, any average consumers standards.

That brings me to these gloves: They're better than all the rest. These gloves not only have 10 finger touchscreen capability but they actually work like they should and you can touch your phone screen with moderate pressure from any finger and any angle. In addition to their superior touchscreen compatibility, these gloves give your hands remarkable dexterity that some of the thicker "touchscreen" gloves simply don't offer. I was actually able to tie my shoes and button a button on my jacket in the cold weather that I have where I live that. If I were to have on thicker gloves, I wouldn't have been able to do either of those tasks without taking them off.

Apart from doing what their name actually implies, the gloves look good when you're wearing them. The knitted black and gray look of them goes will with just about any jacket color you can imagine. Another cosmetic plus to these is that they have little rubber grips on the palm and fingers so your ability to hold things with these on and not have those things slip out of your hands is a huge plus. I think the makers of these gloves did an excellent job incorporating metal into the stitching of the gloves and that is the main reason why these have worked as well as they have for me up to this point. The reason I gave a 4 out of 5 star review for these gloves is due to their inability to keep my hands warm while using my phone or any other of my touchscreen devices. If you're out in weather that's 20 degrees, sunny, and little to no wind, then these gloves do an excellent job. However, if you've got weather like I do and it's constantly colder than 20 degrees, cloudy, and gusty to say the least, then these gloves won’t keep your hands warm whatsoever.

Overall these gloves are great. They're stylish, practical, work better than any other touchscreen glove I've tried, and for the most part keep your hands warm during an average winter day. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of touchscreen compatible gloves that won't break the bank, get the job done, won’t break on you in the first day, and look good while you're using them.

These gloves are not quite as warm as I'd like, but I can use my smartphone with them on. I do need to trim stray threads off them too, so they take a little maintenance.

Good product, pricey for an item that is unraveling after some use. It does work with electronics without taking them off, though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product... but won't last long. 13 February 2016

These should be 5 star gloves for doing what they are meant to do: keep your hands warm & let you use touchscreens. The fact that the entire glove is equipped for touch sensitivity is a major plus. Also the gripper dots (only on the palms) are a nice perk, I didn't realize how slippery my phone was in my other gloves until I used this one. The gripper dots make these gloves a slight pain to use inside ski mittens, but not enough to make me complain about them. Also the silver threading still lets the gloves look like they are charcoal grey, so it doesn't look weird.

The reason why I had to knock 2 stars off is the lack of durability. If you have any velcro around, these gloves will shred immediately. I hadn't worn them for more than five minutes before all 10 fingers were shredded by coming into contact with velcro. I cursed and tried to avoid touching velcro, at which point I realized for the first time how much velcro I have on all my ski gear. By the third day, my brand new gloves looked like they were years old. The silver threading is frayed everywhere on the fingers. I suspect that pretty soon the touch screen abilities won't work as well on my fingertips - you know, where I need it the most.

I would love to recommend these gloves more, but due to their complete lack of durability, I won't buy another pair.
