The blurb and the cover tell you about the book it is related to college. also the cover is relatable. Viraj is the main lead here and just like any other teenager falls in love with Nimisha one of her engineering classmates and then do things fall apart or fall together? get your copy to know more.
what you will really love is the way the scenes are described and teenage love takes over his mind and soul. the phone calls, hanging out in cafes, treats, the failures and sucess. the language is easy to understand. this book is like your college experience all over again. some places you may feel few things were not necessary to the plot but overall the book makes sense. this book also deals with how one may get so many setbacks and still go through it. the curiosity to know the climax remains throughout the book. various emotions will be felt through the book, where you can relate to so many of the quotes or happenings. worth a read :)
thankyou arudha book club for the book in exchange of an honest view.

THE PLOT IN BRIEF-
What happens when you fall in love at first sight? That too in college, which is supposed to be the best time of one's life. But is it the best place to find love too?
Viraj falls head over heels in love with his classmate Nimisha, who could make boys on campus go crazy. While his friends Punit and Sahil just want to have fun - despite poor mark-sheets, grace marks to pass, and other everyday adventures - Viraj wants more from his life and love.
Life has led Viraj to the edge of a cliff. He has a choice to make – to forget everything and jump, or fight.
What brought him here? An unrequited love, encounters with law, or the dilemma of grace marks? Where does Viraj's story eventually end?
Welcome to 37 + Grace Marks, Viraj's journey to discover that there is more to life than marks.
Are marks everything? As you work to become a better student, remember that learning is far more important than the numbers on your transcript. I know it can be hard sometimes to remember what you're in school for. In some places, students go crazy over a tenth of a point - but this is an unhealthy and unsustainable way to manage your education. The real reason you're in school is to grow as a person and fulfil your potential. But in a country like India it is not so. Grades really cover up failure to teach.Read more ›
The book has Viraj as its center attraction, an engineering student who gets worried about his performance as the exams approach. He tends to put in all his best efforts to at least pass the exam and when the result is declared – he managed to nail few subjects because of the grace marks awarded to him. As the days pass by, he falls in love with his classmate Nimisha at the first sight. He makes all the possible efforts to woo her but to no avail. He gives up on food to impress the Almighty to grant his only wish – love of Nimisha. He lands in a hospital due to his declining health and still gets an unrequited love.
Life has led Viraj to the edge of a cliff. He has a choice to make – to end his life or to come to terms with the life. Which way he chooses??
Read more to find out. Whether Viraj is able to come off age and tackle his dilemma? Will he be able to find his love? Or,
Will he realize that true love has a different meaning and the one that appears to be the one might be a deception! Will he be able to convince himself that the life is much more than the Marks??
The plot is very interesting. You may fall head over heels in love with this book. One could completely relate with the life of Viraj whose circumstances lead him to the edge of a cliff! The author has made a wonderful attempt at bringing out the predicaments of a college student’s life.Read more ›
37+ Grace Marks by Vishal Anand is another teenage romantic fiction. It is a light read and can attract young readers who love reading college romance. Well, this is not practically a romance novel as the female protagonist Nimisha keep rejecting the proposal of Viraj and she is also not an important character of the story. This novel revolves around the college life of Viraj and his friends.
Viraj is just an another engineering student who is not so good in studies. He is just passing time in college when this girl Nimisha enters the story and Viraj falls in love with him. They became good friends but when he expressed his love for her she rejects him, not once but twice. Suddenly she disappears from the story and Viraj gets involved with other things like his projects, friends, and fests. Now to make readers remember Nimisha's character her name is mentioned here and there. At the end of the story, she met with an accident and Viraj saved her and after some time she asks him to meet her. Picture end, the end. This book has nothing more to offer.
The language was simple but the narration was quite boring in some chapters. It was as if the author was trying to stretch the story. But in some places, the story was rushed. The story could have been written in a better way. The title of the story is well chosen according to the story and the cover having a picture of three guys and a girl reading books also matches the theme of the novel.
This book is a one time read and suitable for those who are looking for a light college life story.
